The CCHS Eagle cheerleaders returned to cheer camp on June 18-21. This was their first year to attend UCA camp at Tennessee Technology University where they faced tough competition from several middle Tennessee cheer teams. They earned Blue Ribbons in their Game Day and Camp Routine evaluations. In addition, they also received the Top Banana on the second night of camp alongside the CCJHS cheer team. Both Chester County cheer teams also won the Traditions Award, and the CCHS cheer team went on to win first place in Camp Routine in the Large Varsity Division in the camp’s final day competition.
In addition to the awards earned by the entire Chester County cheer program, several individual cheerleaders earned additional honors. Brookelyn Burton, Ariel Faulkner, Presley McIllwain (CCHS), and June Lewis (CCJHS) made the All-American Cheer Team, allowing them the opportunity to travel and perform with hundreds of All-American cheerleaders from all over the country at a major spirit/holiday event of their choice over the next year. The following Chester County cheerleaders received the Pin it Forward Award for their outstanding sportsmanship: Brookelyn Burton, Ariel Faulkner, and Presley McIllwain (CCHS) and Dakota Talley and Lilly Miller (CCJHS).
