Chester County High School recently announced that students Claire Summars and Alyssa Lyons were selected to attend American Legion Tennessee Volunteer Girls State. TN Girls State “empower Tennessee’s promising young women to become and remain civically engaged leaders through experiential learning and relevant, inspiring growth opportunities.” Additionally, CCHS students Brady Wells and Newman Denbow were selected for American Legion Volunteers Tennessee Boys State. “Tennessee American Legion Boys State is among the most respected and selective educational programs of government instruction for high school students. This year, Boys State is an interactive program where each delegate participates in local, county and state government education and activities.”Pictured are the girls and boys state students left to right: Summars, Lyons, Wells and Debow.
