The team is undefeated in the region. “We surprised a lot of people this year already by how we came out, and we still have a lot of surprising left to do throughout the rest of the year if we really want to compete at a state level,” senior runner Evan Allen said.
Evan Allen even earned the rank of second in the state earlier this year by running a 5000m with a time of 15:26.26.
“It’s a really great blessing and honor,” he said about being so highly ranked.
The team has high hopes to finish the season strong, and possibly win the state championship.
“Our goal is the state championship; individual and team,” senior runner Gideon McManus said.
With about 50-60 miles that they run each week according to Coach Stephanie Hatch along with their dedication and ability of being mentally, physically and spiritually fit, it makes her have faith in their success as a team and not just as individuals.
“They have always wanted Chester County represented at that state meet as a team. They want to place as a team this year,” she said.
“I’m wanting it,” she said in agreement.
