The Chester County Junior High baseball team came out Thursday evening and defeated Decatur by an impressive 10-0.
In the bottom of the second, Chandler Cranford gave the Eagles the momentum they needed. With guys on every base and just one out, Chandler Cranford hits a ball into the outfield and sends two runners home for the 2-0 lead.Following that great play, Cranford and Dijon Love, were able to cross home plate as well.
This ended the second inning 4-0.
In the top of the third, Decatur was still scoreless, but the Jr. Eagles loaded another 6 runs onto the scoreboard by the end of the inning.
Decatur had one last chance to score and catch up to the Eagles in the top of the fourth but was not successful in doing so. The Junior Eagles did not let up and let them score at all.
The Eagles were capable of stealing a total 10 bases by the time it was all over.
Some bases were even stolen at home plate.
The victory keeps the team undefeated for what seems to be a spectacular season thus far.
They are 5-0 for the season.
