Charles Daniel Malone, 89, of Jacks Creek passed away Aug. 18, 2023, at his home.
Funeral services were 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Ray Pack officiating.
Burial followed at Henderson City Cemetery. The family received friends at Crook Avenue from noon-3 p.m. service time Sunday.
He was born June 3, 1934, in Chester County, the Sweetlips Community, the son of the late Dan Larson and Fleity Record Malone. He attended Chester County Schools, graduating in 1952. He married Elizabeth Massey in 1959. They made their home in South Jackson.
He worked for Wonder Bread as a routeman for 27 years, delivering Wonder Bread and Hostess Cakes to Chester County and areas east and south of Chester County. He worked for Walmart for 19 years, transporting Fuji Film. He later drove for Gary Williams Trucking for 10 years. He married Ruby Sue Maness in 2013. They made their home at Jacks Creek. He enjoyed mowing the yard, raising a beautiful garden and sharing his vegetables with friends and neighbors. He was a member of the South Jackson Church of Christ. He loved his Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Sue Maness Malone of Jacks Creek; two daughters, Regenia Jones and Lisa Brasfield, both of Henderson; three grandchildren, Angela Pace, Kristen King and Ky Jones; and six great-grandchildren, Maddie, Charlie, Molly, Will, Colton and Brandon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Elizabeth Malone in (2012); two daughters, Sharon Malone Acred and Karen Malone; two brothers, Cecil Malone and Robert Malone; and two sisters, Mazie Lou Murphy and Edith Karnes.
