Chester County Board Of Education recognizes the success of new junior high Robotics classes

During the Chester County Board of Education meeting on Thursday, March 18, the CCBOE wanted to recognize the Chester County Junior High’s new Robotics classes that started this year in January.
In the classes, taught Dr. Colette Carrabba, students are introduced to the value of coding, robotics and future careers involving both.
Goals of the school are to participate in robotics competitions and increase interest in careers involving coding and robotics.
Robotics competitions allow students to compete outside of sports through technology which is a plus.
Director of Schools, Troy Kilzer II, is excited for what is to come of this new asset at CCJHS.
“What it does is that it incites the kids that there is fun related to learning…This is more cutting edge. This is where life is going,” he said.
The next board education meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 15 at the board office.
