The Chester County Board of Education celebrated the work of Chester County School’s Food Service program at the meeting on June 10.
An organization, No Kid Hungry Tennessee, recognized Chester County Schools for its nutrition program and awarded them with a plaque.
Gratitude was given to Stephanie Lollar, district school nutrition supervisor, and cafeteria staff for their hard work.
The board also recognized Chester County School System faculty that received tenure. Those people are Jon Hardin, Annette Rhodes, Jerra Leek and Amanda Brasfield.
A request to allow students to where hoodies in school was made to the board. The board approved it with the following rules to be followed if they are worn.
Hoods cannot be worn indoors. They must not have any inappropriate printing or convey an immoral message whether explicit or implied. Solid colors can be worn. Any hoodies associated with Chester County Schools clubs and athletics can be worn.
