Chester County Commissioners expected to approve County 2022-23 Budget and hire new budget director

The Chester County Commission is scheduled to have a special-called meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 27.
The commission will consider approval of all the budgets under the county government for the 2022-2023 fiscal year. All these include: charitable contributions, school budget, highway budget, county general budget, library budget, solid waste budget, technology school budget, drug fund budget and general debt service fund.
There will also be a resolution for fixing the tax rate for Chester County’s fiscal year of 2022-2023.
There will be the consideration of the approval of a resolution to use ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) funds to pay expenses for the General Government Services dating back to 03-03-2021.
During the meeting, the commission will vote to approve the new budget director.
Other items on the agenda include:
-Resolution for Funding Chester County Volunteer Fire Departments FY2022-2023
-Resolution for Making Appropriations for Various Funds, Departments, Institutions, Offices, and Agencies of Chester County
Approve “Board of Zoning Appeals” to be Paid Equal to Standing Committees of the County for Future and Past Meetings
Approve and Adopt the Educational Support Program for the State Department of Health employees to be paid by Chester County, and to be reimbursed by the State of Tennessee
Approve option to create a Continual Budget
