Chester County ran roughshod over the field last week in Joelton to win the Dixie Boys age 15 and under state tournament. The championship is their second in a row.

In their initial game at state, Chester County walloped Ramer 19-1 with Kaden Davis hitting a home run. Next up they faced one of the host teams, Joelton Americans, winning 10-0.

CC continued its wipeout of the hosts with a 17-4 walloping of Joelton National League, and had no trouble destroying Adamsville 14-2. A 13-0 victory over Joelton gave Chester County its second straight state championship in this division.

The World Series is set to begin Thursday, July 18, in Sterlington, La., with Monroe-West Monroe as the hosts. The Sterlington complex of fields feature turf infields and will certainly be a unique experience for the participants.
