The Chester County Eagles had a slow start in their game against Hardin County with being behind 8-0.
However, as the game progressed, the eagles picked up their game and made a comeback in the third while being down only by one point; 31-30.
Then they started to fall behind again which resulted in them losing 55-46.
Head Coach Kody Howard was not happy with this game. He said that the team should have won this game.
“We got every shot we wanted, we just didn’t ‘bow-up’ and make open shots in the first half. In the second half we got to where we would make a run and then just throw the ball to them,” he said. “I think we gave that game away… It’s the first time all year we gave one away.”
Howard still takes a positive away from the loss though.
“It was our best half-court man defensive performance of the year.”
On Tuesday Jan. 7, the Eagles played McNairy Central in a district game. If they won, they would be 2-2 in the district. The game had not been played at time of printing.
