Chester Country Eagles Football team continued to struggle last week during their game against North Side and lost 41-6.
According to Head Coach Steve Robinson, the team did make some improvement even though the score may not present that. He mentioned how more players are making plays and the offense is moving the ball.
“There’s some things we did good that we haven’t been doing, but there’s so much to this game.”
Robinson said that the problem with the team’s results is that they’re not consecutive.
The Eagles drove the ball close to the 30 yard line multiple times during the game, but due to penalties and other mistakes, they couldn’t push it further and put more points on the scoreboard.
“We had some drives we just couldn’t sustain due to miscues and penalties that backed us up,” Robinson said.
“We just can’t play behind the chains. We have to eliminate those mistakes. ”
Tristin McClain, this week’s Game Ball recipient, continued to show his effort during the game by gaining 100 rushing yards of the Eagles total 148 yards gained. Furthermore, he even made 10 tackles during the game. He has won the Game Ball multiple other times this year as well.
In preparation for the Bolivar game this week, Robinson said, “We can’t worry about what Bolivar does. We have to worry about Chester County and get better; not just as a team but individually.”
