With victories over Lexington and Adamsville last week, the Eaglettes started this week with a 3-0 winning streak.
At Lexington on Jan. 12, they defeated the Tigers on their own court, 66-48.
Then, on Friday, Jan. 15, the Eaglettes defeated Adamsville by more than twice their own score; 63-30.
The Eaglettes just continued to put up points all while playing hard defense. They were in total control of the game.
At the end of the first quarter it was 20-6. The end of the second was 40-18. The end of the third was 60-20, and they ended it 63-30.
The victories last week were a result of the girls playing much harder defense and pushing the ball more, Eaglettes Head Coach Lee Pipkin said.
Chester County fans only hope they continue this momentum as the Eaglettes could be on a 4-0 winning streak if they defeated Decatur Riverside on Tuesday Jan 19.
The last time they played Riverside, they won 60-40. Read next week’s issue for the results.
Currently, the Eaglettes are tied for third place with Scotts Hill in district play at 4-2.
The two teams follow Jackson South Side which is 6-0 and McNairy which is 5-1.
