The Eaglettes started off last week with a huge win against Decatur County Riverside after defeating them by 23 points Jan. 21.
The final score was 58-35.
The Eaglettes bench players even played for a while that night.
Head Coach Lee Pipkin said the girls came out and did their job.
The Eaglettes faced a tougher opponent on Friday when they played against Jackson South Side though.
The first couple minutes of the first quarter were scoreless for both teams, but it ended with Chester County being down 6-10.
The CCHS girls stayed behind the whole game which hurt them, but the Hawks did not have more than a 10 point lead on them most of the game.
Toward the end, the Hawks pulled away a little more though.
The Eaglettes had trouble hitting their shots Friday night.
The girls needed to use more teamwork and more on-court aggression as well Pipkin said.
“They weren’t fighting back,” she said. “When you play a team like that, that’s that aggressive, you got to fight back… We did not rise to the occasion, and we did not fight back when we had the opportunity.”

Scorers at South Side: Ava Craddock 11, Claire Maxon 8, Mia Hurst 7, Madison Williams 6, Annabelle Lockeridge 3, Roselyn Roberts 2
