Chester County EMA Director Johny Farris passes torch to Connor

After 11 years of service to Chester County, Johny Farris retires from being the Chester County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) Director on July 31.
Chester County Mayor Barry Hutcherson said, “Director Farris was instrumental in ensuring County emergency operations plans aligned with the most current FEMA guidelines. In addition, Director Farris always had a progressive emergency management program in preparation for possible disaster scenarios; he worked with passion, dedication, and enthusiasm. His ability to persevere and look for solutions helped bring calm to a typically stressful environment,” Hutcherson said.
Farris now passes the torch to former Henderson police officer, Brandon Connor.
