This past weekend, the Chester County High School Band started their marching season at a competition at Hendersonville High School, and it turned out to be a great start.
The CCHS Band won Third Place in their class.
“I couldn’t be more proud of everything our students have accomplished this season,” said CCHS Band Director Marcus Montgomery. “They’ve really shown a phenomenal work ethic, a desire to become great musicians, and a willingness to step out of their comfort zone and really give their whole heart to their performance. They really are amazing, and it’s inspiring to get to work with them every day.”
Additionally, in the small band divisions, CCHS was fourth overall.
“I am so proud of the band this season,” said Assistant Band Director Jacob Miller. “The students are putting their whole hearts into being able to make music with their friends and family and their effort is being seen in their day to day practice and when they are able to perform.”
The CCHS Color Guard was able to return home as the Best Color Guard in their class.
“I feel amazing,” said Color Guard Instructor Mia Osterman. “I am super proud of the team that I have built. I might have taught them, but it is their choice what they do with what I teach. They are the ones that put in the work, and I couldn’t be happier with the end result. As long as we continue with a strong work ethic, our band will achieve even greater next time.”
