Rivalries always get intense and the Lady Eagles Softball team versus the McNairy Bobcats was just that.
In the first inning, Chester County took the lead in the bottom of the first 2-1.
In the fifth inning though, the Lady Eagles got some good hits that gave them a 6-1 lead.
The Bobcats responded and made the 6-3 after getting a run in the top of the fifth.
With Chester County not being able to further the lead in the bottom of the fifth, McNairy comes back and ties it 6-6.
The Lady Eagles then scored a run making it 7-6 so they just had to hold the bobcats in the seventh but they could not do so.
The Bobcats tied it.
After not scoring in the bottom of the seventh, Chester Co. and McNairy went into an extra inning.
McNairy was not able to score in the inning, but Madison Burton gave her team the win with a outfield hit that went right over the fielder’s glove to send Lana Rowland home.
