Our Marching Eagles made us proud once again at the Choctaw Classic Competition on Oct. 12! Bringing home second place in all categories in our division was a worthy accomplishment against very strong competition. Director Marcus Montgomery was very pleased with the performance and with the dedication of the students. The weather was perfect for the afternoon’s events, but a few of our students were caught by surprise when the sun went down and the chill set in. However, when all was said and done, they were smiling.
Thanks, as always, to all the parents and volunteers who came to keep everyone fed, move props on and off the field and cheer the students on. We couldn’t do any of this without their support. And thanks again to everyone involved in getting us this beautiful trailer this year. It is proving to be exactly what we needed and is making it so much easier to manage competitions and away games.
If you haven’t seen the Marching Eagles perform “Watching You,” there are three opportunities left: Oct 25 – Home vs Bolivar Central; Oct 26 – Austin Peay Competition in Clarksville and Nov 2 – State Competition in Smyrna.
