Chester County Resident Bob Bass Appointed to Deputy Director of TN Corrections Institute

Bob Bass was recently appointed to Deputy Director of Tennessee Corrections Institute. Bass started his career in 1991 at Chester County Sheriff’s department and served as a corrections officer and chief jailor. He started his service with TCI in 1998 serving as Detention Facility Specialist and promoted to Detention Facility Manager in 2015. He has developed educational curriculums across the state for jail staff and implemented programs to assist counties with improving their correctional environment. He assists sheriff departments with studies and statistical analysis of correctional trends for all 95 counties. TCI is responsible for inspection and certification of all adult local lock ups in Tennessee. Mr. Bass has been a resident of Henderson for 40 years.
