On Friday, June 11, the Chester County Senior Center held a Health Fair where they could receive health information and some goodies as well.
About 16 vendors, including both from Chester County and out of county, participated in the event.
The event also offered seniors groceries from Second Harvest Food Bank in the center’s parking lot.
According to Chester County Senior Center Director Audra Thomas, 53 seniors from the community went to the event.
That number of participants excites her for the growth of the senior center, because about half of those are people who are new to the senior center.
Thomas plans on this being an annual event for the senior center.
