Chester County sixth grader Zachary Gates to play in elite football showcase

Upcoming sixth grader, Zachary Gates, son of April and Keith Gates, earned the chance to participate in the Showtime Elite Football Showcase in Gatlinburg June 24 – 27.
Gates is a Chester County Junior High offensive tackle and defensive tackle, and will play those positions at the showcase.
Keith said that Showtime Elite’s owner reached out to him after reviewing game film of Zachary playing football.
“Honestly, Zach’s mom and I both were hoping he would do well in sports, but he seems to do especially well in football on both sides of the ball,” Keith said. “We were really impressed with the speed he has for a lineman. He also has a natural feel and understanding of the game.”
Keith said that Zachary also maintains good grades in school as well and will be receiving the academic honor in Gatlinburg this month.
“To say we are proud of him is an understatement. As long as Zach always remember to be as good in life off the field as he plays on the field then he has all the potential to go as far as he wants in anything he chooses,” Keith said.
