Chester County’s annual BBQ Festival is just around the corner

The annual Chester County BBQ Festival is drawing near.
With festivities beginning early next week, The Henderson|Chester County Chamber of Commerce is sharing information on some of the events.
Rise & Swine Community Breakfast Sept. 21
The Chester County BBQ Festival Rise & Swine Community Breakfast sponsored by Chester County Lions Club & Besso’s Coffee will be from 7-9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21 at the Chester County Senior Center. Tenderloin, biscuits, gravy, eggs, fruit and coffee will be served. Carryout will be available. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the Henderson|Chester County Chamber of Commerce, FirstBank (main branch), Centennial Bank or from any Chester County Lions Club member.
Chester County Barbeque Festival Sept. 24-25
The 43rd Annual Chester County BBQ Festival is Friday, Sept. 24, and Saturday, Sept. 25. The Henderson|Chester County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting all vendor applications. Please visit https://chestercountybbqfestival.com/ for more information.
Notorious P.I.G. Talent Competition Sept. 24
The Chester County BBQ Festival Notorious P.I.G. Talent Competition will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, at the E&T Contracting stage located on the Chester County Courthouse lawn. Performers must check in at 6:30 p.m. Two categories, Youth (15 and under) and Adult (16 and over), will be judged. Registration fee is $25 and entry forms are available at the Chamber of Commerce or call 989-5222. First Place in each category will be awarded $250, with cash prizes for second and third places.
Swine N’ Shine Cruise In Sept. 25
The Peoples Bank presents the Swine N’ Shine Cruise-In to the 43rd Annual Chester County BBQ Festival! Open to all cars, trucks, jeeps, and motorcycles! For more information or to register, please call the chamber office at 989-5222.
Tea with a Princess
Sept. 25

Be our guest at the 43rd Annual Chester County BBQ Festival Tea with a Princess sponsored by Southern Chic Spatique. Enjoy tea with your favorite princess at 10 a.m. Saturday Sept. 25. Dress in your favorite princess outfit and let the magical princess tea begin! Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the Henderson|Chester County Chamber office or at Southern Chic Spatique.
Pig Trot 5k/1 Mile Sept. 25
The Chester County BBQ Festival Pig Trot 5k/1 mile sponsored by FirstBank will be Saturday, Sept. 25 at No Xcuse Fitness, 123 Front ST, Henderson, TN. Registration starts at 7:15 a.m. and the race begins at 8 a.m. Entry fees are $30 for the 5k and $25 for the 1 Mile. Register on RaceRoster.com or obtain a registration form at FirstBank (main branch) or No Xcuse Fitness.
Bill Howard Tribute
Sept. 25

At. 1 p.m. at the E&T Contracting Stage, the commuity will be honoring and remembering Bill Howard. Howard was the first person to cook BBQ at the festival, when it began. He also had the opportunity to cook BBQ on the White house lawn.
