City board meets tonight

The City of Henderson Mayor and Board of Alderman are scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. tonight, Thursday, December 8, in the council chamber of the Henderson City Hall.
The board will appoint or reappoint one member each to the Planning Commission, the Board of Zoning Appeals, the Industrial Development Board and the City Park Advisory Board. Mayor King is recommending the reappointment of Ron Moten to the PC, Charles McNatt to the BZA, Milton Sewell to the IDB and James Arnold to the Park Board. Mayor King is also recommending that Marty Watson be appointed to the PC to fill the vacancy left by the passing of Bobby Ruth.
Other items on the agenda include consideration of passage of an ordinance amending personnel policy to reflect the change made to the Fire Chief position converting it to a 40-hour-per-week schedule, consideration of adoption of resolution authorizing the city to execute an amendment to the 2017 Gas Supply Agreement with TEAC and consideration of the purchase of gas meters and gas regulators for inventory.
Also to be discussed is COVID leave for city employees and any other business.
