Clay Murley promoted to Chester County High School Principal

Clay Murley will be the new principal for Chester County High School.
Murley started as a teacher/coach in the C.C. Schools in 1998 and has served in the role of Assistant Principal at CCHS for thirteen years. “Coach Murly” has coached multiple sports in CC.
His time as a coach includes being an assistant coach for football, boys and girls basketball and softball at CCHS. He was a head coach of CCJHS Football from 2002 to 2004; Girls Basketball at White Station High School from 2004-2005; CCHS Golf from 2005-2007 and CCHS Boys Basketball 2005-2011
He received his Bachelor’s degree of Education with an Endorsement in Physical Education from Freed-Hardeman University in 1998 and also received his Master’s of Education with an Endorsement in Administration and Supervision there.
As a native of Chester County, Murley takes great pride in Chester County Schools and calls it an honor to work alongside such great people at CCHS. He loves the daily interaction he has with both the staff and students.
Principal Ricky Catlett announced Tuesday, May 26, that he will be leaving the position to be the Deputy Superintendent at Jackson-Madison County School District.
Murley will start July 1.
