The Chester County Commission is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. Monday, July 22, in a special called session, at the Chester County Courthouse. The primary topic of discussion will be the 2024-2025 budget.
Items on the agenda include approval of budget amendments for all funds and resolutions for the following: fixing the tax rate for Chester County 2024-2025; charitable contributions for 2024-2025; funding the volunteer fire departments for 2024-2025, making appropriations for various funds, departments, institutions, offices and agencies of Chester County.
The commission is expected to approve the 2024-2025 budget for Chester County Schools, highway department, county general, library, solid waste and drug fund, as well as for the general debt service budget and all other budgets.
In addition to quarterly reports, public comment and other business, the Commission will also discuss a resolution calling on the United States Postal Service to improve local service and a resolution for mutual aid training between Chester County Fire Department and the City of Henderson Fire Department to benefit departments and community.
