As of Monday, March 29, Chester County has reported a total of 2,069 COVID-19 cases since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, with 11 active and 2,010 inactive or recovered. There have been no new COVID-related deaths in the past three weeks, the number remains 48.
Nearly 20 percent of the county’s population has reportedly received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. The county reports 5,516 people, or 19.92 percent have received a vaccine locally. A total of 7.92 percent have begun the process with Series Initiation (having received at least one dose of Pfizer or Moderna) and 12 percent have completed the vaccine series with two doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Statewide, COVID-19 positive cases total 809,692. Of that number, 784,267 have recovered and 11,866 have died. Tennessee reports a total of 2,276,853 vaccines have been administered, an increase of 307,104 from this time last week, with 21.56 percent of Tennesseans having received at least one dose of any manufacturer vaccine, and 938,897 achieving Series Completion, having received two Pfizer/Moderna doses or one dose of Johnson & Johnson.
