David Earl Moore, 76, of Germantown died Sunday at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Spence Ray officiating.
Burial will follow in Montezuma Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday and from noon-2 p.m. Sunday.
He was born in the Montezuma Community of Chester County on April 20, 1945, son of Celeste Harville Moore and the late Joe Max Moore. He grew up and attended schools in Chester County.
He was owner/operator of David Moore, Inc., an excavating and demolition company which he began in 1972.
He married Suzette Chambers on Feb. 29, 1996, and they made their home in Germantown.
He was a member of Germantown Baptist Church. He loved old cars and motorcycles and going to heavy equipment auctions.
He is survived by his wife, Suzette Moore; his mother, Celeste Moore of Somerville; daughters, Sophia Lois (John) Antwine of Henderson and Jennifer (Josh) Kuehn of Memphis; four grandchildren Skylar, Brennen, Braden and Gabriella Kuehn; a sister, Judy (Danny) Benard of Henderson; former wife, Jackie Moore of Southaven, Miss.; one niece, Amber (Wayne) Greene of Henderson; two nephews, Danny (Brandy) Benard of Arlington and Michael (Misty) Benard of Toone; two great-nieces, Autumn and Abbie Greene; and dear friends, Robert Estes and Terry White both of Southaven, Miss.
