Jewell Dean Hutcherson, 86, of Enville passed away Feb. 28, 2021 at his home. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at Woodlawn Cemetery at Enville with Bro. Gene Hanna, Cameron Finley and Cheri Hutcherson officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery beginning at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
He was born May 25, 1934 in Enville, the son of the late Frances Arbie Young Hutcherson. He attended Chester County Schools. He moved to Memphis to work for Ford Motor Company and transferred to Ford Motor Company in Louisville, Ky. He married Shirley Ann Graves, Nov. 12, 1955. They moved back to Memphis where he worked at Kellogg on Airways Blvd. from the 1960s until 1996 when he retired. Mrs. Hutcherson died in 1983. He returned to the farm at Enville Oct. 1997 where he raised Angus beef cattle. He produced his own hay, and he loved the farm and cattle farming. He always had a big vegetable garden and enjoyed raising enough to share with family and friends. He enjoyed a manicured yard and flowers.
He was a “pick-up truck” guy who grew up without a father, and it was very important to him to be the best father he could be. He was a Christian man who was both father and mother to Wes, Jackie and Cheri after Mrs. Shirley passed away.
He is survived by a son, Thomas Wesley Hutcherson of Enville; two daughters, Jackie Ann Hutcherson of Enville and Cheri Dean Hutcherson of Oakland; and a brother, Jeff W. Hutcherson of Germantown.
He was preceded in death by his mother; his wife; and two sisters, Jean Hutcherson Wilson and Gaye Hutcherson Bledsoe.
