Donna Kay Morris, 70, passed away on March 28, 2020. In lieu of flowers, burial expense donations would be appreciated and can be made into the account of Donna K. Morris at First Bank in Henderson. A burial memorial will be held at a later date since no full services can be held at this time.
She was born on Dec. 15, 1949 and lived in Henderson the majority of her adult life. She had three children, Tammy Morris Reed, Brian Morris and Angela Morris Bushnell. She raised her family in Henderson and was known fondly by family and many friends as, “Mammie.”
She lived several years at Heritage Towers before moving to the home of her daughter, Angela. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time watching her grandchildren play, doing her puzzle books, getting news on her family and watching her favorite shows, NCIS and Blue Bloods.
She is survived by her son Brian (Dewana) Morris of Scotts Hill; a daughter, Angela Morris Bushnell of Henderson; seven grandchildren, Taylor, Drew, Hunter, Megan, Nicholas, Doug and J.C.; two great-grandchildren, Chase and Madilyn, with one great-grandchild on the way, Milo; two nieces and two great-nephews that were very close to her, Crystal Kuykendall and Joshua Kuykendall and Monica Holder and River Holder; a sister, Sue (Larry) Carroll of Scotts Hill; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Morris Reed; parents, Wilmer and Etta Taylor six brothers; and six sisters.
