The Chester County Eagles got back on their feet after two losses for a huge district win over South Side, 45-13.
The Chester County defense dominated the Hawks on the field.
Defensive backs Demetrius Edgeston and Aidan Timby made interceptions in the second quarter, and in the fourth quarter, Jaleo Smith caught one and returned it for an Eagles touchdown.
Player of the Week, Landon Rushing was a part of the great defense. With the multiple hard-hitting tackles he had, he recorded 12 tackles with 10 of them being solo tackles.
CCHS put up a lot of points on the scoreboard too. Two were rushing touchdowns by Judiaz Prather. Then, there were receving touchdowns by Chad Barham (2) and Hunt Pipkin (1) that were thrown by Evan Schippers. Kicker Colston Callis got a field goal, and don’t forget Smith’s interception for a touchdown that was earlier mentioned.
The Eagles are now back over 50 percent with a record of 4-3 with bye week this week.
They return to the field for senior night on Oct. 14 against Lexington in a district, rivalry game.
