The time is now. The Eaglettes are on fire as the district games begin.
The Eaglettes have not lost since December 1 and have an 11-game winning streak after gaining another W in a great game against Bolivar last Friday, 47-39.
They started the game being down on the scoreboard 10-4 but came back to end the first quarter with a tie at 12.
Once they took control in before halftime in an intense second quarter though, they kept control until the final buzzer for the win.
The win keeps their momentum going as they entered district games on Tuesday with the first one being against North Side.
Brooke Ketchum led the team in points after scoring multiple times in the paint with a total of 23 points.
Unfortunately the Eagles could not follow up the ladies with a win.
The first quarter for the boys ended with them losing by seven points.
Nonetheless they were able to enter the locker rooms at halftime up 27-21.
The second half of the game was competitive as the Eagles and Tigers fought it out on the court.
The Eagles did not have enough fight to get the win though with the final score being a 61-53 loss.
On Tuesday, the Eagles attempted to bounce back with a district win against North Side after falling to North Side in the Hub Classic Dec. 30.
Read next week’s issue of the Chester County Independent for the results of the first two district games.
