Chester County falls to Scotts Hill

Last week, Chester Co. girls and boys both had a tough game last week on Feb. 4 against Scotts Hill with the girls losing 66-53 and the boys losing 78-71.
Lee Pipkin and her Eaglettes returned the next day on Feb. 5 to get a win against Lexington 57-46.
The Eaglettes went-9-0 in the first quarter before the Tigers even scored.
They pushed the lead even further from good defense to 43-28 by the end of the third.
Lexington tried their hardest to comeback by scoring 18 points in the final quarter, but could not do so.
The Eaglettes went out on the court Monday, Feb. 8 and improved their winning percentage with a win against Adamsville 61-50.
The Eagles did get that win against Adamsville, but could not seal the win against Lexington.
After leading the majority of the game, the Eagles and their fans were heartbroken with the loss against the Tigers.
The last couple minutes in the game were the two teams scoring back to back causing one or the other to be winning or the game to be tied. In the last minute, Dalton Colbert tied it at 61 with a layup when they Eagles were down, but then Lexington scored again. Nonetheless, Chad Brham was able to get another layup in with 24.7 seconds left in the match to tie it. The Eagles seemed to be able to hold the Tigers to make it go into overtime, but with 1.5 seconds left the Tigers took the lead with a layup making the score 65-63. The Eagles could not score with the time that was left.
This evening, Thursday, Feb. 11, Chester County High School will recognize the senior Eagles, Eaglettes and cheerleaders during their second to last game against McNairy Central.
This week, Chester Co. finishes the regular season and starts the district tournament on Feb. 16.
