The Election Commission reports voter numbers as follows: 508 voters on Wednesday, Oct. 16; 650 voters on Thursday, Oct. 17; 509 voters on Friday, Oct. 18; 231 voters on Saturday, Oct. 19; and 424 voters Monday, Oct. 21.
“We are so excited to see the interest in this election. With 4.5 days of early voting behind us, we have already surpassed the total voter turnout for the August election. Early voting continues through Oct. 31. There are two more late nights or voting when we are open until 7 p.m. – Oct. 24 and Oct. 29. Saturdays, we are open until noon. We encourage everyone to consider voting early in order to avoid long lines on election day,” said the Administrator of Election, Kathy Vest.
Early voting begins 20 days before an election and ends five days before each election. No reason is needed to vote early, and voters may change their address or name while voting early. Voters need to bring some form of identification with them.
