Hello from Enville! I hope everyone had a great week! This week is great for ducks. If you like rain, then this is your week also. The forecast has it for everyday with a little break hopefully on Friday and Saturday but with rain again on Sunday. Our temperatures are fairly mild for the next 10 days, which is good. No freezing rain!
The Henderson Christmas parade was good again this year. There were some beautiful floats and lots of decorated jeeps and trucks. We enjoyed watching it!
The Enville Community Club had their Christmas party Saturday night at Molly Monday’s restaurant in Savannah. We had 36 in attendance with a few out sick. We had a wonderful time and missed those who were not there. Our entertainment was Randy and Sherry Smith. They got us in the Christmas spirit with a couple of songs before our meal and sang more during the program. Thanks to both of you! Our meal was great, and the service was wonderful. We thank the waitresses for a job well done! New officers for 2023 were installed. We had drawings for a door prize, perfect attendance and five paid memberships for 2023. We opened gifts, pledged to the flag and were dismissed. We all had a great time of fun and fellowship!
Enville sends out Happy Birthday wishes to Zachary Thomas on Dec. 9 and Tristan Weatherington and Kira Weatherington on Dec. 10. Happy Anniversary to Shane and Tanya Harwell on Dec 9, Wayne and Ann Pugh on Dec. 14 and Stan and Delana O’Neal on Dec. 15. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Please be in prayer for the families of Stevie Mooney, Johnny Harbin and David Ray (Pat Cates nephew), and continue prayers for Lisa Bishop, Mary Lee Guyon, Agnes Smith, Linda and Robert Johnson, Florence Stublaski, Ashley Pugh, Ann Pugh, Emily Freeman, Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Nicole Thompson, Amanda Freeman, Rick Ooley, Mike Pugh, Charlie Kent, Loretta Plunk, Janice and Danny Keen, Tim Harris, Blake Thompson, Tim and Tabitha Hampton, Shirley Hampton, Della Mixon, Larry and Priscilla Gilbert, Jimmy Robertson, those who have lost loved ones, those battling the crud, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military, schools and school board and, as always, each other.
If you have news to share, call me at 608-3058, or if you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125.
