Hello from Enville! I hope you all are having a great week. I am liking the warm temperatures but not so much the new time. I hope you all are adjusting well. It will take awhile for me, but we will get used to it.
Veterans Day is Saturday, Nov. 11. There will be many veterans programs to attend if you wish to. Be sure to thank a veteran for their service to us and our country.
We want to congratulate Jonathan Timmer from Enville for being one of 25 FHU students inducted into the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society. All the semester inductees had at least a 3.9 GPA. Alpha Chi membership is by invitation only to juniors and seniors with a minimum grade point average of 3.75 on at least 80 earned credit hours and must be in the top 10% of their class to qualify. Jonathan is earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. Congrats, Jonathan!
Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Maggie’s Restaurant in Enville is having a Thanksgiving Dinner from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Nov. 23. They are located at 8450 Main Street, Enville. Their menu will consist of ham, turkey, mashed potatoes w/gravy, dressing, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, deviled eggs, cranberry sauce and rolls. Desserts are pecan pie, pumpkin pie or cheesecake. All sides, drinks and dessert are included. All dinners will need to be purchased in advance with the cutoff date of Friday, Nov. 17.
