Hello from Enville! I hope everyone had a blessed Easter weekend. We did! Our family went to church, and then, we had lunch together at our house and spent the afternoon being lazy because we were stuffed. It was a great day!
April is here already. The old saying, “April showers bring May flowers,” is usually true. I wrote this on Monday, and the weather forecasters were calling for rain Monday night with some thunderstorms for Tuesday. The temperatures will be cooler the later part of the week. I am ready for warmer temperatures to come and stay for awhile. We already have a hummingbird. He actually showed up before I had a feeder up, so within an hour, I had it up, and he has been here ever since. I guess others will follow his lead when the time is right! Our other birds are enjoying their feeders as well. We have been sitting outside some mornings, drinking coffee and watching all of them. We love our birds!
The Chester County FFA State Convention was held in Gatlinburg last week. We are proud of our Enville seniors who received their State Degrees, Sydney Cherry and Lexi Harwell, along with Paul Jones and Will Kemp. Congratulations to all of you!
Spring Break is over, and I hope each of you enjoyed your vacation from school. We are on a “down hill slide” to summer break. Enjoy the rest of your year. It will be over before you know it!
Maggie’s restaurant in Enville gave away four large Easter baskets – a boy, girl, woman and man. They were filled with lots of nice gifts and candy. The drawing was on Saturday. Danny Johnson won the man basket; it had lots of grilling items in it, which he loves to do! Parker Herndon won the boy basket, and he knew just which little boy he wanted to give it to. The other winners have been notified.
Enville sends out Happy Birthday wishes to Lexi Harwell on April 5 and Audrey Trammell on April 10. We hope you both enjoy your special day!
