Hello from Enville! Hopefully, you all enjoyed your week. We had more rain, which was nice. Our grass is growing, and we are mowing a little more often, but that is okay. It is green again, not brown.
Goodbye July, hello August! School is back in session. I hope all students and teachers were ready to get back in the groove of going to bed earlier and getting up earlier. I hope we have a great and safe year.
Sanford Hill Baptist Church had a service, “Blessing of the Backpacks,” where they prayed over our youth and their backpacks and gave each student a bible verse tag to remind them they are being prayed for daily. Teachers and all school staff are also being prayed for. It is always a moving service!
Enville says happy birthday to Wanda Finley on Aug. 6. We hope you enjoy your special day!
The Enville Community Club and Enville Volunteer Fire Department will have our Enville Wild Goose fundraiser at 4 p.m. Aug. 27 with a spaghetti supper, cakewalk, silent auction and 50/50 drawing. We hope everyone will come out for great food, fellowship and fun; bring a cake and join us!
Please pray for the Jeff Hutcherson family and continue prayers for Deb Finley, Lisa Bishop, Amanda Johnson, Mary Lee Guyon, Agnes Smith, Linda and Robert Johnson, Florence Stublaski, Ashley Pugh, Shirley Hampton, Della Mixon, Rick Ooley, Larry Lambert, Jimmy Robertson, Ann Pugh, Emily Freeman, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Danny and Janice Keen, Tim Harris, Tim and Tabitha Hampton, those who have lost loved ones, those battling COVID, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military, schools and school board and, as always, each other.
