Ruth Evelyn Morrison Bishop, 82, Marion, Ark., passed away June 15, 2022 at her home.
Graveside services were 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, at Chester County Memory Gardens with Richard Johnson officiating.
She was born Sept. 18, 1939 in Chester County in the Montezuma community, daughter of the late Malcolm Bedford and Bessie Ruth Marsh Morrison.
She graduated from Chester County High School in 1957. She married Gerald Bishop in 1960. They made their home in West Memphis and Marion, Ark., where Mr. Bishop owned and operated Bishop Trucking. She owned and operated Evelyn’s Fashions in West Memphis. She owned and operated rental properties in West Memphis.
She is survived by a daughter, Kimberly (Art) Bishop-Martinez of West Memphis, Ark.; one grandson, Derek Pritchett; two brothers, Andy Morrison and Curtis Morrison, both of Henderson; and six sisters, Linda Slater of Tullahoma, Sylvia Skaggs of Collierville, Judy Johnson of Jackson, Jana Maness of Henderson, Beverly Hay of Henderson and Van Cooper of Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald Bishop (2013); and two sisters, Cherron Morrison and Charlotte Morrison.
