Former auto body shop owner Cecil Croom passes away at 87

Cecil Croom, 87, died on May 22, 2020.
Croom owned and operated his own auto body shop in the Montezuma community for over 40 years.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 28 (today), at the Estes Church Of Christ.
The interment will be in the Montezuma Church Cemetery. The visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday. Stephenson-Shaw Funeral Home is in charge of services.
He  is survived by his wife of 64 years, Reba Faye Croom; three sons, Cecil (Harvette) Rayburn and Marvin (Renee) Croom of Henderson and Phillip (Laura) Croom of Cadiz, Ky.; two siblings, Alice Askins and Kenneth (Bonita) Croom all of Henderson; four grandchildren, Raven (Cole) Gardner, Corrie (Anthony) Robinson, Wesley (Sarah) Croom and Chantler Croom; three great-grandchildren, Braylin and Roenin Robinson, and Ava Croom; and a host of nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, and other relatives.
