Freed-Hardeman accepting hall of fame nominations

Freed-Hardeman University’s Sports Hall of Fame is accepting nominations for the 2023 class. In order to qualify for the Hall of Fame, the following guidelines have been set:
Athletes, Coaches, and Administrators of FHU or Alumni who have distinguished themselves in the field of athletics.
Outstanding in performance at FHU or later in high school, college, or professional athletics.
Coaches must have coached at least eight years at FHU in order to be considered.
Primary consideration will be given to FHU graduates. Nominees must have attended at least one full year prior to 1976 or two full years since FHU became a four-year institution.
Minimum of five (5) years since graduation or last year of athletic participation at FHU.
Nominee must receive necessary votes from the Hall of Fame Selection Committee in order to be inducted.
Academic, Career, and Leadership Ability will be considered.
Distinguished Service- Individuals who have rendered special service to FHU Athletics.
Special Award- Individuals who may not have excelled in sports while at FHU, but have excelled later in a sports field.
Nominations will be accepted until September 1, 2022, with the enshrinement to be set on FHU’s Homecoming weekend.
