Freed-Hardeman Lady Lions Golf in fifth after first round of MSC Championship

After 18 holes in the Mid-South Conference Championship, the Lady Lions of Freed-Hardeman University sit in fifth place with a team score of 319 (+31).
Bailey Gilbert again had the best round for the maroon and white, sinking a pair of par-5 birdies in her first round to total 76 (+4) and finish in a tie for sixth place. Gilbert’s -2 on par-5 holes was tied for the best score on the long holes.
Reagan Malone and Hannah Ruth Walton each held a share of 17th place after the first round with both shooting 80 (+8). Walton sank a par-4 birdie on the 16h hole while Malone finished with 11 pars.
In a tie for 25th place, Makenzie Wilson carded a birdie on the par-4 10th hole to shoot 83 (+11).
At the back of the pack for the Lady Lions was Ansley Pratt, whose 85 (+13) placed her in a tie for 29th place of the 34 best golfers in the Mid-South Conference.
