Freed-Hardeman Lions baseball schedule forces tough test in 2022

The Lions baseball team released its 2022 schedule on Thursday, and it features a tough non-conference slate along with matchups against the toughest teams in the Mid-South Conference, as the program enters its second year in the league.
The Lions were picked to finish second in the MSC Preseason Poll, and they are currently receving votes in the national poll.
Non-conference highlights:
-The Lions will take on 2018 National Champion and third-ranked Southeastern University for the second straight season, alongside (RV) Bryan to open the season.
-They will face off against 2019 National Champions and fifth-ranked Tennessee Wesleyan, both home and away, for the second straight season.
-The Lions will go up against former American Midwest Conference rival Lyon College and Missouri Baptist, both at home and on the road.
-FHU will host Fisher (Massachusettes) for the first time in program history on March 7 and 8.
Conference highlights:
-FHU will travel to No. 11 University of the Cumberlands in a Mid-South Conference Tournament -Championship rematch in the second week of conference play.
-The Lions will close out the season at home against Lindsey Wilson on April 22 and 23.
-The Lions will open their season on Feburary 4 against No. 3 Southeastern and Bryan College, with both games being played at Bryan. Their home opener is on Feburary 11 against Lyon College, and their MSC opener is against Campbellsville on February 25 at home.
