Freed-Hardeman Lions drop final two in Shreveport

After winning both games on Friday Feb. 5, , the No. 9 Lions (2-2) dropped both games on Saturday Feb. 6, falling to (RV) Tabor College (2-2) 7-1 and No. 6 LSU-Shreveport (2-2) 15-11.
FHU’s all-time home run leader Josh Sears did what he does best, knocking three over the wall on Saturday, one in the first game and two in the second, for his first three long balls of the season. He went 4-for-5 in the contest against Shreveport, driving in six of the Lions’ 11 runs in the game.
Riley Perks got his first home run in his Lions career in the loss to the Pilots, and Zach Sanders scored three runs on three hits in the contest.The Lions will be back home on Friday and Saturday when they take on former American Midwest Conference foe Harris-Stowe in a four-game series. Game one on Friday will start at 2 p.m., and game-one on Saturday will start at noon.
