The Lions soccer team (5-7, 4-6 MSC) won its third straight game on Tuesday, shutting out Pikeville (1-7-1, 0-5-1 MSC) 3-0 on Senior Day.
It did not take long for the Lions to get on the board when Kenneth Ramirez scored his team-leading eighth goal inside the first few minutes of the contest.
He added his second goal of the game less than a minute into the second half when he converted a penalty kick after the Bears committed a handball inside the penalty area.
Joao Souto scored his first goal as a Lion in the 86th minute, assisted by Roger Gisbert Castellort, to put the game away.
The Lions held the Bears to just one shot during the contest, which was saved by Omer Shifris who earned the win in the net.
The Mid-South Conference Tournament Opening Round begins Saturday April 3 for the Lions.
