The Freed-Hardeman University men’s soccer program has announced the signing of Lawson Ashby, a midfielder from Heritage Christian Academy.
“We are really excited to see what Lawson can do for us here at FHU,” coach Jason Elliott. “He came to camp last year and his skill and knowledge of the game really stood out. He has experience playing at a lot of levels, and we think he will continue to develop into a key member of our team.”
Ashby plans to major in communications at Freed-Hardeman University. He was named KCAA All-State while leading his team to a successful season. Ashby has also played for the Bowling Green Sky and Hopkinsville Ambush Club Teams. He scored 20 goals and dished out 11 assists his senior year while also scoring 10 goals for his club team.
