Recent Freed-Hardeman graduate Bailie White and the wife of FHU President Shannon, Tracie Shannon, created the “Heart of a Lion Project” for the community. They cut out paper hearts so that they can be filled with people’s names who are front-line workers or people directly (or indirectly) affected by COVID-19. The filled-out hearts have been attached to the FHU Wallace-Gano Dining Hall window. The hearts were given to restaurants/ businesses in the community so that people can put the names on them. Virtual submissions can be sent in to be filled out by going to https://forms.gle/wNGha8mWECAMyUuv9 . “The purpose of this is to have all of the hearts around Gano so people driving by or walking around campus can pray for those who have been affected by the virus or are diligently working to fight it off,” White said.
