Hello to everyone! For this is a new day, a new week and a new month! Guess what, parents? Fall break is Oct. 6-13 for Chester Co. I hope you have a plan for the week so you and your child/children will enjoy the time off from school. Parents, please let your children know how much you love and appreciate them. What breaks my heart the most is to hear a parent say, “I will be so glad when you grow up!” My grandmother Zelma Bass told me to enjoy my children while they were on my lap and I could see them because one day they will be on your heart and you will not be able to touch or see them. Teachers, put your feet up and enjoy this week. You have earned it.
To the people of Henderson, we need to pray. I was born and raised here in Henderson, and after serving my Country for 21 years, my husband and I knew where we would spend the rest of our lives and raise our children. This is a loving and peaceful city. Let us pray that nothing will come in and change that!
I have some great news! Some of you may know that our daughter LaWanna was diagnosed with a heart disease about two years ago. We went for a checkup, and we received some wonderful news. Her heart is strong, and she is doing great! The doctor said, “I am going to check your heart as well, Mrs. Holiday,” and he did, my heart is also strong! To God be the Glory! You know she is a miracle baby! Thank you for all of your prayers!
Pastor Appreciation Day is Sunday, Oct. 8. This celebration happens in the month of October. The celebration of this day began with the idea to celebrate the contributions of Priests, Ministers, Reverends, and Pastors to the country. So Sunday, do something nice for your Pastor.

Happy 33rd Wedding Anniversary to Pastor Marles and Sylvia Flowers; they will celebrate it on Oct 10. “Keep the honey in the moon,” as I always say! We pray that you all will have many more years together!
