The Chester County Historical Society met on May 6 at the Senior Center. Guest speaker was Joe Neal Cox who used documents from 1860 to explain the murder of John H. Trice by his bondsman Joe Harrison near Jack’s Creek. Also included were Harrison’s confession, his hanging, and other vitriolic rhetoric that showed the fraught times in the local area prior to the Civil War.
