Huey’s record leads Lions over Shawnee State Bears

The (RV) Freed-Hardeman University Lions opened up the first game of the series against the Shawnee State (Ohio) University Bears with a huge 28-4 ballgame. The Lions outhit the Bears by a total of 18 for the Lions to eight for the Bears.
The biggest accomplishment of the ballgame for FHU (14-11, 4-6 MSC) was Alex Huey breaking the school record with career wins. After breaking the career strikeout record earlier in the season, Alex Huey recorded his 32nd win as a member of the Freed Hardeman University Lions.
Alex Huey (4-2) pitched five innings while allowing six hits and striking out ten Bears (3-18, 1-6 MSC) on the ballgame. Patrick Cantrell entered the ballgame to finish it out by pitching two innings and allowing two hits and striking out four.
Leading the offense for the Lions was Brady Spring, who had three hits on the day including a home run and six RBIs. Baron Ratliff and Zach Sanders had three hits on the day as well.
