IMOGENE HARRIS Obituary – Jan. 6, 1934 – March 22, 2021

Imogene Harris, 87, of Henderson passed away March 22, 2021 at Maplewood Healthcare. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, March 27, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Bro. Ronnie Geary officiating. Burial followed in Chester County Memory Gardens. The family received friends at Crook Avenue from 12:30-2 p.m. Saturday.
She was born Jan. 6, 1934 in the Cave Springs Community of Chester County, the daughter of the late Willie Estel and Ada Elizabeth Cupples Smith. She attended schools at Phillips School in Chester County. She married Richard Sanders Morrison. They were married for 19 years and later married James Ward Harris who died in Oct. 2018. She was a member of the Cave Springs Baptist Church.
She worked at Salant & Salant Mfg. and later Chester County Sportswear as an Inspector.
She is survived by a son, Ricky Morrison of Henderson; six grandchildren, Bryan Plunk, Brandon Plunk, Dyllan Morrison, Dustin Morrison, Taelor Morrison and Makala Morrison; two great-grandchildren, Karlee Plunk and Braden Plunk; a brother, Edward Smith of Selmer; and two sisters, Linda Coster of Henderson and Shirley Cauffman of Arlington, Va.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Regina Earnest in (2019); one grandson, Tyler Morrison; two brothers, Waymon Smith and Jerry Smith; and a sister, Maxine Mathis.
