Initiation film to be shown Thursday, December 16

At 7:30 p.m. this evening, Thursday, Dec. 16, at Williams Auditorium Chester Countians will be able to watch the screening of an award-winng short film “Initiation” that was written and directed by Chester County High School’s art teacher Jeff Haltom.
There is no admission to see the film.
Furthermore, the stars in the film are students from Chester County.
The cast includes: RJ Barboza, Danielle Brewer, Haydn Haltom, Riley Haltom, Haley Heenan, Ken Kitchen, MK Miller, Luke Noles, Trenton Sweeney, Rilee Kat Vest, Seth Wilson and Lawson Young.
The award that the film won was best horror/ thriller/ crime short film from the Europe Film Festival UK.
Haltom explains the film is about a new kid in school with a gothic/ ghost story touch to it. In regards to the process Haltom said, “Part of it is finding good actors, and I knew I had a wealth of good actors at my disposal here at the school. Once I had the basic premise in my head, the writing came really quickly.”
